The Campanile Shanghai Natural History Museum Hotel recently celebrated its grand opening.
This is the second hotel in China opened under the Campanile umbrella following the Campanile Shanghai Bund Hotel. It provides business travelers, leisure guests and families with a true experience of living “à la française.”
The new hotel is located on the bank of Suzhou River, adjacent to the Jingan Sculpture Park and the Shanghai Natural History Museum. The hotel sits in the downtown leisure zone, with riverside scenery on the north and old Shanghainese alleys to the south.
This location, with its beautiful views, offers every guest a chance to experience a unique French lifestyle, as if they are on the banks of the River Seine or are warmly dreaming that they are part of the Jazz Age back in the 1920s.
With a mixture of French and local culinary delights, food options are plentiful, while evening strolls along the nearby streets and alleys near the hotel offer a perfect end to the night with a distinctly Shanghainese feel.
To celebrate the opening, Campanile invited over 300 weekend travelers to come and enjoy an authentic French party, sample the cuisine on offer and also had in attendence a live French band. Hosted within a versatile public event space, the event was a huge success - in particular the Pétanque Competition.
The opening of Campanile Shanghai Natural History Museum Hotel signifies a further chapter for Jinjiang in the mid-scale hotel market. The Campanile brand was founded in 1976 by the Taittinger Family and in 2015, Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels (Group) Company purchased the Louvre Hotels Group that owned Campanile brand. The Campanile was brand was formally introduced to Chinese market in 2016.
In addition to this second Shanghai hotel, Campanile is opening other hotels in Suzhou, Nanjing and Huzhou this year.
