Sep 27: One Republic
Major American pop-rock band One Republic comes to Shanghai for an arena show at Mercedes-Benz Arena. They first formed back in 1996 when their two core members met in high school in Colorado and are now known for catchy hits like “Counting Stars” and for mixing genres from folk and rock to synth pop and disco.

Sep 27: Oh Land
Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Oh Land, who's originally from Denmark and has toured with Katy Perry, brings her catchy, moody synthpop to Shanghai for the first time. Catch her show at Yuyintang.

Sep 29: STRFKR
Portland-based STRFKR, who are known for their mix of indie rock, synthpop and psychedelia, land back in Shanghai for a show at Mao Livehouse. They've performed at Coachella, had their songs featured in a bunch of TV shows, and put on famously fun and raucous live shows.

Sep 29: Rejjie Snow + Crave Moore
Rising star rapper Rejjie Snow, who is originally from Dublin and whose slow-burning beats have topped charts over the past few years, makes his Shanghai debut at Modern Sky lab along with producer Crave Moore.

Sep 30: Lali Puna
German indietronica band Lali Puna is a cult favorite thanks to their mix of catchy hooks and complex orchestrations, along with frontwoman Valerie Trebeljahr’s unique vocals; they’ve had a slow burning career over the course of five albums, dropping their latest, Two Windows, with a China tour through Beijing and Shanghai from New Noise.

Sep 30: Mao Livehouse 8 Year Anniversary
Mao Livehouse celebrates eight years as one of the city's preeminent live music venues. The eclectic line-up for the anniversary show includes No Electricity (pictured), who play a blend of jazz, rock and funk, Busy Gang member and hip-hop artist Kozay, Shanghai punk rockers Dirty Fingers and hip-hop troupe The Lion of the Far East.

Sep 30: Meltdown
Inferno hosts a local punk night featuring newly-formed street punk band Rebellion, blues-inflected indie rockers General Tsao, and rockers Star Maiden Apocalypse.

Oct 2: Dreamshade
The 5-piece German hard rock/metal act brings their emotive songs to Shanghai, as part of this China tour through Painkiller Magazine. Check out their show at Yuyintang.
