News from the ivory fortress: a second base is belong to old timey American fast food chain White Castle, this time in the basement food court of the Raffles City Mall Changning, which is so recently opened it still has that new car smell. This comes just a few weeks after the first branch on Maoming Bei Lu opened, showering Jing'an with a hail of 'belly bombers,' as they are (fondly?) referred to.
Anyhoo, the menu of onion-y 'steam grilled' sliders is the same, and hey, they've got chicken rings now (dip them in honey mustard sauce.)
Our personal recommendation is a double order of the single cheese slider, and a mapo tofu beef guy for good measure. Don't forget the sweet potato fries and Sriracha. We are told they taste best at around 4.20pm, but don't let us tell you how to live your life.
