An O2O charity store, Buy 42, opened last week in Jing'an and it's the first of its kind to open in China.

All the products at the store are donated by charity organizations, enterprises and invididuals, and are at discounted prices of between 50 and 30 percent. Some of these prices are lower than online shops, according to a store employee.

The donated products are required to be 90 percent new—permanent stains or products with visible wear-and-tears are not accepted here, nor fake brands or illegally obtained items.

O2O employed a number of disabled staff to run the store. A deaf worker uses sign language or written signs to help customers, while another works the cash register.

The space for the storefront is rent-free, provided as a kind gesture by the local authorities.
