The Mega Guide to Celebrating St Patrick's Day 2017 in Shanghai

By Lauren Hogan, March 14, 2017

This year, St. Patrick's day falls on a Friday (this Friday to be exact), and it appears that most parties aren't just sticking to one location, but rather bandwagons of boozing. Lucky, lucky us. Here's the scoop on where you should head to load up on Guinness and paint the town green.

St. Patrick's Day Ball

The main event (or so we've been told), the St. Patrick Ball is back at the Pudong Shangri-La on Saturday, March 18. If you want a guaranteed good time to celebrate the spirit of St. Patrick, this annual event is not one to miss!

Pub Crawls

1. Dagu Road Pub Crawl

The Hop Project, Caxton, Le Cafe des Stagiares, La Bota, Park 91, Shanghai Republik and Bar Gatsby have aligned on Dagu to get smashed. Hit all seven (how extra lucky is that?) to collect a VIP card, which will get our specials and deals at participating bars on the street. Rumor has it, there will also be a live band at The Caxton too.

2. Shaanxi Bei Lu Pub Crawl

Slightly more to the west of Jing'an, Shaanxi Bei Lu is also taking it to the streets. Daliah, Sumerian, Dogtown, After Work Bar and The Rooster have teamed up with Jameson to do deals at all locations. With each sponsored drink purchased, receive a lucky coin for discounted beer backs and Jameson mixed drinks. Starts at 5pm and runs late.
