Shanghai Matchmaking Group Helps Singles Improve Dating Skills

Did you know there's a Shanghai Matchmaking Association?

Well, there is.

And there putting together a new initiative to help out all the single ladies (and men) to include the elderly and disabled.

While many have turned to apps to help find potential partners, technology isn't the first go-to option for the older generation. On December 24 a free matchmaking event for the middle-aged and senior singles will be held in Xuhui District. Plans for the city's biggest matchmatchmaking event, the Shanghai Love and Marriage Fair, are also in the works for October next year.

According to The Shanghai Daily many singles who attended the event last year were found to 'lack dating skills, an obstacle hindering their matchmaking experience'.

Great news for those looking for love, especially with the former connection corner Ikea cracking down on romance.
