Open your eyes to the future of women...

This weekend, the female community in Shanghai is coming together to organize POWER TRIBE: Opening Your Eyes to the Future of Women, an event to empower the mind, body and soul - and raise money for Education in Sight, an organization that provides eyeglasses for girls in rural China.

Hosted at the new naked Hub in Xintiandi starting at 12.30pm, there will be food and drink from local vendors, a fun zone, workshops from leaders in the community and a dance party. The workshop tracks cover entrepreneurship, lifestyle, food and bev and stem (science-y stuff) and are as follows:

Blasting Off: Accelerator Or Not?
Moderated by Teresa Truda (chozun), with panelists: Rachel Daydou (Lihaoma), Zia Word (chozun), Billy Chan (Foowala), Jia Frances Chen (WeVenues)

Obstacles and Advice for Entrepreneurs
Moderated by Sophie Wu (Pamir Law Group, Women in Leadership League), with panelists: Mary Rezek (Saatori), Cyril Drouin (Saatchi & Saatchi), Henry Su (Jade & Fountain), Katherine Lu (Canfreee)

Entrepreneurship Talk: What is it like to be a 'celebrity' startup in China?
Michale Yao (Mobike)

Entrepreneurs Speed Dating Networking Session

F&B
Elizabeth Schieffelin (Lizzy's All Natural), Karen Chuang (Bon App), Didi (Goose Island),

Stem
Chermayn Chan (Veritas Genetics)

Tickets are RMB130 (presale), all of which will go to the beneficiary Education in Sight, along with some proceeds from vendor sales. Across the country, 30 million students suffer from poor vision, but don't have access to the care they need. Education in Sight works with local partners to give children free eye exams, eyeglasses and eye care education at schools. To date, they have given over 100,000 eye exams.
