The future of WeChat (products) is arriving.
WeChat has announced the arrival of the Ying drone and they're taking pre-orders for sales starting October 30th.
Ying will allow users to live stream to contacts via the drone... one word: trouble.
The drone, which is collapsible, has a flight time of an hour and can be controlled via an iPhone app. It also has the ability to land itself.
The most crucial element however, the camera, shoots in high quality 4K video but our live streaming WeChat feeds will be limited to 720p.
Priced at just USD299, it's pretty reasonable when compared to Mavic Pro's, which as priced at USD999 or Xiaomi’s 4K drone is USD450.
We expect to see many of these flying around Shanghai in the near future...
