Christmas is coming! The 'new Yongkang Lu' is coming!

The That's Shanghai Christmas Shindig is coming!

This weekend, November 25-27, we'll be taking over Found 158 (formerly Datong Mill), the soon-to-be-center-of-the-Shanghai-universe. A kind of preamble to all the goodness that will be going on down there, the event will feature most of the venues moving in. There will be live music from JZ Club, who are already open, Chad Romero & the Cadillacs and others, as well DJs spinning the wheels of steel. There will be shows from Anson Chen and his army of illusionists - he is opening Blackstone Magic Bar down there.

There will be food and drinks from around the world: El Santo, El Luchador's little brother, will be busting out the tacos and margaritas; Pasha Turkish Restaurant will be doing doner kebabs – the proper ones carved off a spit; Zapfler are on pretzel, sausage, apple cider and shots duty; Le Cafe de Stagiaires will bring some Gallic flair; Cyclo have Vietnam covered; new concept Hooked are offering poke bowls and proper English fish and chips; Brazilian bar Boteco will be slinging the Caipirinhas; Acquarium are serving up Northern European seafood and cocktails; Oishi will be satisfying snack attacks; BottlesXO'll painting the place wine red; The Dog House will be waving their wieners - the list goes on...

Beer! There will be barrels and barrels (and barrels and barrels) of beer courtesy of Goose Island, Leffe and Blue Point, with a free one on arrival.

Sound a good shindig?

Pre-sale tickets are available here, and are just RMB50 a day, which includes one free beer, while a three-day pass is RMB100 and gets you that welcome beer every single day. Oh, and that ticket will get you half-price entry to JZ Club should you wish the fun to go on into the wee hours.
