Planning to watch the 2016 Summer Olympics live from Rio de Janeiro? We've compiled a list of some of Shanghai’s most popular bars where you can watch the Games while enjoying a drink or two. 

Want to catch the Opening Ceremony? It'll start Saturday, August 6 at 7am China Standard Time.

Big Bamboo (Nanyang LuHongmei LuHongfeng Lu)

Are you showing the Opening Ceremony (Live/Replay)?
“The Nanyang Lu branch will show the Opening Ceremony live, starting from 6.30am.”

Are you charging an entry fee?
“No.”

Do you have any special deals on?
“No.”

What hours will you be showing Olympic matches?
“We will show all the live matches until 2am. The Nanyang Lu location will show all the early matches from 6-8am, while Hongfeng Lu and Hongmei Lu will operate from 9am. The full TV schedule can be found on our website.”

Will you show any replays of the big games?
“Depends if our satellite stations have it!”

Boxing Cat (Fuxing Lu)

Are you showing the Opening Ceremony (Live/Replay)?
“Yes. We will show the live broadcast from 7-10am. We’ll also show the replay in the evening.”

Are you charging an entry fee?
“No.”

Do you have any special deals on?
“For the Opening Ceremony, pancakes, brunch and beer will be served for half price. During the Olympics, you can get an American Club Card, which will get you Happy Hour prices for beer — just RMB35.”

What hours will you be showing Olympic matches?
“Depends on customers’ requests.”

Will you show any replays of the big games?
“Yes.”

The BREW (Kerry Hotel Pudong)

Are you showing the Opening Ceremony (Live/Replay)?
“Yes. We’ll be showing the live broadcast from 6.00-11.55am and a replay from 1.45pm-6pm on Saturday, August 6.”

Are you charging an entry fee?
“No entry fee.”

Do you have any special deals on?
“No; just the existing promotions. Also, there will be an hour long free flow of beer for our new MASH launch on August 18 from 6-7pm. The IPA is a collaboration with Sumerian. We’ve also got the Beer Olympics on August 12 (more info below).”

What hours will you be showing Olympic matches?
“Everyday from August 6 to August 23, from 7am to 2am. We will have both CCTV5 and NBC sports channel on separate screens.”

Will you show any replays of the big games?
“Yes! And we will have a huge screen outdoors if the weather is good. Depending on the broadcasting schedule, the replays will be played between 7am and 2am.”

The Camel (PuxiPudong)

“Yes — we'll show it live in Puxi.”

Are you charging an entry fee?
“No entry fee.”

Do you have any special deals on?
“Just the Daily Specials, except on Saturdays. We’ve also got special deal on craft beers: RMB35 a bottle for Little Creatures and Karl Strauss. And RMB100 for five shots of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky.”

“We won’t show the live broadcast, but we’ll show the replay when it’s on CCTV5.”

“Yes! Happy Hour every day from 4PM to 8PM. Plus, we’ve got an additional half price promo on MOA New Zealand bottled beer.”

“On August 6, we will show various games from 7.30PM until midnight, depending on broadcasting schedule. On August 7, we will show the games starting from 11:30am, depending on the broadcasting schedule.”
