Town Crier! is random snippets of Shanghai news that just may have an effect on your life...
Bust out the shades (and maybe even a pair of shorts, if you're crazy), because the mercury is expected rise to as high as 20℃ this weekend! As the bitter cold snap that swept Shanghai earlier this winter weakens, the National Meteorological Bureau is forecasting that spring will hit the city a little earlier than usual with some pleasantly sunny days ahead.
While thermometers in most regions yesterday plummeted to well below zero, weather authorities say that average temperatures have bottomed out and will steadily climb from anywhere from 7℃ to 18℃ on Saturday and Sunday.
Expect more precipitation into Monday which will bring another slight dip in temperatures. The thermometers are predicted to plunge to 10℃, followed by another rebound later next week.
So enjoy it while it lasts, and maybe enjoy an al fresco brunch or two this weekend!
