Town Crier! is random snippets of Shanghai news that just may have an effect on your life...

Watch out, Shanghai! Earlier this week, a mystery animal savaged 64 chickens and ducks across multiple homes in Xuanqiao Town, Pudong. Shanghai Television Station reported that villagers woke up to find a mess of feathers, blood, and flesh.

One resident, Mr. Lin, lost 23 ducks and 12 chickens. His iron fence had been knocked down and a hole had been broken through another net on his property.

The animal had supposedly left footprints on the ground, which revealed that the perpetrator had four toes on each foot, and webbed feet. As villagers suspected dogs, the evidence for another mystery animal said otherwise.

The residence is also located near the Shanghai Wild Animal Park, but no animal was reported missing. With the animal still on the loose, the villagers urged that residents keep an eye out for the creature. Shanghai police are reportedly still investigating the incident.
