Just can't seem to hail a cab or Uber these days after leaving the office? Shanghai transport authorities are testing a new ferry service to ease rush hour traffic, reports Shanghai Daily.
The ferry will journey along the Huangpu River and connect major spots, including Gongping Lu, Jinling Dong Lu, Dongchang Lu and Taitongzhan. A single ride will take around 30 minutes with tickets costing RMB4 a piece.
The ferry will only be available in 30 minute intervals and operate during peak rush hour traffic -- 7:30am to 9:00am and 4:30pm to 6:00pm. Passengers are limited to 300 per ride, and they'll be able to partake in a buy-one-get-one ticketing deal on Thursdays and Fridays.
