Spending the holidays in the 'Hai? You're not alone. We met with four of our favorite F&B personalities – one chef, one mixologist, one restaurateur and one master patissier to be precise – to see their ultimate Christmas eats (and drinks) that remind them of home. If this doesn't get you in the spirit, well then we don't know what will.
1. Graydon Tullis’ Eggnog at Hai by GoGa
“Eggnog is a firm family favorite at our house around Christmas time. I prefer homemade over store bought any time – since you can add as much or as little bourbon as you like.”
2. Jason Oakley’s Côte de Boeuf at Coquille
“In our family, Christmas is a feast, andwe go all out bringing oysters, smoked salmon, foie gras terrine, and bacon brussel sprouts to the table. Côte de boeuf is a wonderful cut for sharing, and a delicious alternative to turkey.”
3. Chef Lucien Gautier's Christmas Chocolat Chaud at Peninsula Hotel
“This ultra-thick hot chocolate is infused with six different Christmassy spices and is exactly what you need to warm up in the cold weather. Perfect when paired with our house made Christmas pudding.”
4. Camden Hauge’s Whisky Pumpkin Pancakes at EGG
“Pumpkin spice is always a classic flavor this time of year, and pumpkin pie is my absolute favorite treat – I even have it for breakfast! Eating pancakes always reminds me of family, so this dish is an amalgamation of the two traditions, with an extra boozy kick since it’s the holiday season.”
