ChinaJoy is a gaming and digital entertainment expo held annually in Shanghai - the largest of its kind in all of Asia. If you were to do a quick search for it online, however, you'd probably think it was a massive fantasy fetish sex expo.

So intrinsically intertwined are the hordes of showgirls the gaming industry that rumors of a crackdown spreading today have caused serious concern in the local nerd community.
Photographs being shared online show a document outlining fees and fines for this year's ChinaJoy expo. In amongst the penalties for fighting and false advertising, however, are a new set of rules punishing too-hot-to-handle showgirl action:

Showing over two centimeters of cleavage will set you back RMB5,000, as will wearing pants hanging more than two centimeters below one's waist. "Vulgar" poses and performances such as pole and cage dancing will earn you a RMB10,000 fine.
Male models also feel the wrath of the new regulations: they'll be RMB5,000 out of pocket if they wear nothing but briefs or boxers, or wear their trousers belong their hip bone.
ChinaJoy has neither confirmed nor denied the alleged leak, but netizens are already responding with devastation and disillusionment. "Way too excessive," one said, "now why would anyone go to ChinaJoy?" "We should learn from Arab countries and just let them show their eyes," another quipped sarcastically.
However, at least one zhainan was excited by the prospect: "I'd like to apply for the job of taking these measurements..."
It also remains to be seen if this year will bear witness to the end of ChinaJoy's debauched afterparties where last year salivating geeks paid to grope the showgirls aboard a boat in the Huangpu River.
This year saw a new showgirl ban come into place at the Shanghai auto show, as well as a slew of television dramas cutting tasteful top boob shoots from their programming.
