For the first time, Beijing Puppet Team - “A’lombre du Palais” will be visiting to perform with Shanghai’s local puppet improv team - Puppet Improv Nep Squad (PINS) for a collaboration bilingual show for YOU!

Martin Elson has been a puppeteer in Belgium since 1997. In 2005, Martin and his wife Laurence, created a moving puppet show “A’lombre du Palais” (in the Shadow of the Palace). In 2016, they moved to Beijing and performed French guignol puppet shows for French audiences with the support of "les amis de guignol" (based in Lyon). Both Martin and Laurence will be in travelling all the way to Shanghai to bring to you their passion and craft of puppetry. (First half of the show will be in French)

PINS is Zmack’s puppet improv team, they started in 2020 during the pandemic and currently do live musical puppet improv shows across Shanghai and other neighboring cities! PINS has combined the art of improv with the boundless world of puppetry for a highly interactive and hilarious show
