Mr Nobody, the eponymous character, is the last man on Earth who is going to die. The World wants to record his story but searching through his memory multiple scenarios emerge in contradictory tales. Everything is narrowed down to a single moment during his childhood that would inevitably have an impact on the development of his life.

Immortality is a device for the movie to tell us a story about the power of free will. Using immortality provides infinite choices but it is also something that removes the power from the choices we make. In the end living forever may conflict with natural regeneration.
