Put together a simple game, ridiculous costumes, hyperbolic stage antics, haphazard judging and booze-fueled madness, and it makes for an amazing evening. Whether veteran local musicians or wannabes, it's a must-see for fans of rock n' roll theatrics.

Plus, this year's proceeds will benefit Shanghai animal shelter PPAR. A percentage of money from bar sales, the host's fee and any donations at the event will all go to PPAR. Money raised will help with the electricity bill and rent fee of their shelter. Paying bills is not as sexy as directly feeding cute kittens, but it's an essential part of allowing it to happen.
