Beijing-based craft brewery Jing-A is taking the train down to Shanghai and bringing you a taste of fresh brews from the capital. They're taking over the taps at Beer Barrel with all 8 beers pouring for just RMB35 a pint all night:
Worker’s Pale Ale
Flying Fist IPA
Beijing Bikini Watermelon Wheat
Death by Passionfruit IPA
Paihuanggua (Cucumber Gose)
Culture Clash (Mixed Fermentation Saison)
Qu Brew (Sour Ale Fermented with Baijiu Qu)
And finally Yangbingbing, a new beer launching that night that was brewed in collaboration with Shanghai craft beer bloggers/importers Brewful Life.
The concept stemmed from an argument about which city makes a better summer soda: the pulpy orange of Beibingyang from Beijing, or the salty tang Yanqishui from Shanghai?
Neither side would budge, so they decided to brew a beer that combines the best of both sides - Yanbingbing, a thirst-quenching Gose infused with salted orange peel.
