Törggelen is the autumn wine festival from the area called Alto Adige, or Sud Tirol, located in the middle of the Alps, on the border between Italy and Austria. The German word Törggelen means “pressing” referring to the preparation of the new wine.

During this festival, visitors enjoy the typical products from the mountain and the valleys, especially roasted chestnuts. It is the time when the farmers prepare themselves for winter tasks, like curing the meats, the cheese and, of course, the wine.
