The Year of the Dog has started, and the Yuyuan Garden in Shanghai has began hosting the 2018 Lantern Festival for the upcoming Chinese New Year with a dazzling display of different lanterns.
With an area of 2 hectares, Yuyuan Garden always attract enormous amounts of visitors, both local and international tourists, especially for the garden’s annual lantern festival every year.
The annual Lantern Festival exhibit will run from now until March 5, 2018. The entry to YuYuan Garden is free except from March 2 to March 5, 2018. An entry fee of RMB80 will be charged for adult and RMB50 for child on March 2. On March 3 to March 5, it will cost between RMB30 to RMB50. YuYuan Garden is open from 8.30am to 9pm. The shops and restaurants in the garden are closed around 10pm every night. Over 40 lantern installations will come alive starting from 5.30pm until 9pm every evening.
