January 21st is the 1 year anniversary of the Women’s Rights March and an event called Power to the Polls, asking everyone to register to vote for the November Midterm elections. For Americans Abroad, it is important to request your absentee ballot as early as possible. This Sunday, Sproutworks Xintiandi in Shanghai and The Bookworm in Beijing will be holding voter registration for the whole day. Come out and make sure your voice is heard in November. As a special gift, Krista Suh, the creator of the Pussyhat Project has provided 10 signed copies of her new book, “DIY Rules for a WTF World” will be raffled off to all those who register to vote. Join us!
Come by on Sunday, and you can do any of the following:
- Register to Vote by filling out your FPCA ( Federal Post Card application)
- Get your Register to Vote Sticker
- Take Photos for Power to the Polls Collage
- Write Your Senator with a First 100 Days Act Postcard
