After the successes of the first two installments of ShangHorrorFest, we’ve decided to step it up a notch with the 1986 psychological horror crime thriller, 'Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer'.
A gritty low-budget picture with the promise of raising the hairs on the back of your neck, “Henry” will be followed by four awesome metal bands.
Crusado Orchestra are a local Shanghainese band that rely on the visual and theatrical aspect of classical metal… If 'Phantom of the Opera' had a metal soundtrack, it would be CSRD.
Alpaca are a SH-based band with dudes from all over the world, who bring a fistful of fury and doom to the stage with fat heavy riffs and blues-inspired sounds.
Lie to the Silence are a metalcore band from Hangzhou that fuse various styles of heavy metal and hardcore, noting fast blast-beats, melodies, and fierce breakdowns as a signature part of their sound.
Extinction is a thrash-death metal band from Shanghai that uses a harsh and abrasive sound to cut through your eardrums and straight to the metal part of your brains.
Not one of these bands are an act to be missed. Additionally, this edition of ShangHorrorFest will have a live screen-printing area where folks can get event T-shirts printed for a low cost, with multiple designs to choose from. If you made it to the first two ShangHorrorFests, you know that this edition will live up to expectations.
