Green Initiatives supports the World Water Day 2017 with its 73rd Green Drinks Film Screening event at Haworth Furniture, Shanghai by screening WATERMARK, a feature documentary that shows water as a terraforming element and the scale of its reach, as well as the magnitude of our need and use.
Film screening will be followed by a short discussion.
Note:
Entrance fee of ¥50 for all registered guests, that includes snacks, juice and beer. ¥100 at-the-door for non-registered guests.
¥20 for students and interns (limited seats), with PRIOR REGISTRATION and student card.
We have seating space only for 80 people although we have plenty of standing space. Please come in early to secure a seat.

Watermark: Film Synopsis

Watermark is a feature documentary from multiple-award winning filmmakers Jennifer Baichwal and Nick de Pencier, and renowned photographer Edward Burtynsky, making their second collaboration after Manufactured Landscapes in 2006. It is the third part of Burtynsky's Water project which includes a book and major photographic exhibition. Shot in stunning 5K ultra high-definition video and full of soaring aerial perspectives, in Watermark, the viewer is immersed in a world defined by a magnificent force of nature that we all too often take for granted - until it's gone.
This is the second collaboration between Jennifer Baichwal and Edward Burtynsky after Manufactured Landscapes in 2006, in which the photographer travels the world observing changes in landscapes due to industrial work and manufacturing.
