International Women's Day (IWD) is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. In support of IWD, AustCham Shanghai's Women in Business Committee welcomes Professor Emma Johnston to talk about one of the world’s most biologically diverse harbours and the personal rewards and challenges of being a coastal scientist.

As the Inaugural Director of the multi-disciplinary, cross-sector Sydney Harbour Research Program, Professor Emma Johnston launched the World Harbour Project in 2014 with city partners around the globe, including Shanghai. The project aims to build resilient urban ports and harbours through globally integrated research and management.
