This husband-and-wife-run restaurant in Jing'an cooks in just one dish: unagi don (freshwater eel over steamed white rice.) Served in bento boxes and glazed with a mouthwateringly delicious sweet and savory soy sauce glaze, the unagi are grilled slowly over a charcoal pit until tender, caramelized and lightly crisped on the edges.
Note that the restuarant is very small, seating approximately 10 around a bar setting. Take out is also available. Good for solo dining or impressing a low-key date.
