A huge Chinese history buff, Ji says the spa serves another purpose: housing his extensive antique collection. The antiques, along with a forest of bamboo and an army of statues, create a relaxing setting that immediately puts stressed out visitors at ease. Those feeling extra tense should try out the popular Double Rejoicing Massage (RMB388/90min). Two therapists work their four hands in harmony to give a perfectly synchronized aromatic oil massage. Deeply inhaling the notes of lavender wafting about the candlelit room, it’s impossible not to drift off.
