Unicorn

Unicorn, a slightly creepy jewelry shop, is the dark horse in the quaint commercial maze of Taikang Lu. The unique adornment, for guys and girls alike, evokes a strong medieval, avant-garde aesthetic that’s reflected in the shop’s interior, a freaky gothic shopper’s delight. Wax candles drip and flicker softly on elaborate candelabras and dusty old wine corks rest in antique glass containers. On display, necklaces and bracelets drape over the bones of animal skeletons, and rings rest inside the empty eye sockets of a fake human skull. The edgy goods aren’t original designs or necessarily precious investments, but that means the prices are fair for some unconventional statement pieces, like a long brass chain-link necklace with a walnut-sized brain pendant.
