Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou becomes Guangzhou’s first Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Hotel

Big news from the world of luxury hotels: Forbes Travel Guide recently honored the Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou with the prestigious 2015 Forbes Five-Star Award.

Upon joining the exclusive ranks of hotel supremacy, the Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou is one of only 23 hotels in China to currently hold the Forbes Five-Star rating. 

In making this list, the hotel is considered one of the top 115 hotels worldwide. 

Forbes Travel Guide has been defining the upper echelons of hospitality industry quality since 1958 and is currently recognized as having one of the most comprehensive evaluation systems for hotels, spas and restaurants.

A team of expert inspectors, who anonymously evaluate properties against up to 800 rigorous and objective standards, undertake each Forbes Travel Guide review.

“It is the first year that Forbes Travel Guide introduced to Guangzhou and we are honored to be the first in the city being crowned as the Forbes Five-Star Hotel, which signifies that our hotel is among the finest establishments in the world to deliver guest service and an experience beyond expectations,” said Andrew C. Rogers, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou, in a press release.

“The achievement truly echoes the service philosophy of our company - to provide the finest personal service and facilities for our guests.”

According to the Forbes Travel Guide,  the 351-room Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou is one of the premier luxury destinations in the Pearl River Delta.  With six restaurants and lounges serving Cantonese and Western favourites, as well as special cigars and wines, an extensive health club and The Ritz-Carlton Spa, among other facilities.

The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou features 91 luxury serviced apartments of one to four bedrooms in size, according to the press release.
