As the pioneer of Musical Participatory family show, The SAMAJAM KIDS SHOW sweeps around North America with its oral English communication and dynamic music enlightenment, loved and welcomed crazily by thousands of parents and kids.
The Grand Boat Culture introduced the original version to China in 2016, which hit millions of families as soon as it came to the public and won the top ten box office of Chinese children's musical for two consecutive years.
The grand updating of interactive instruments, the superb debut of REMO Djembe
The interactive instruments are upgraded into a totally new level in 2019. Upholding the high quality performance standards, the Grand Boat Culture introduced Djembe of international famous brand REMO at a hefty cost. It's said that each Djembe cost around RMB2,000. We wish to bring the best musical interactive experience to children through the international high quality percussion instruments.
WHAT IS DJEMBE
Djembe is also known as the African drum, the representative instrument of Manding culture in West Africa. Djembe has a long history, which is originated from Marley Dynasty (BC 500) built by the Manding people in the 13th century. With tones of low, medium and high, it is one of the representative and important percussion instruments from the origin of percussion music. Nowadays Djembe has already been spread around the world and played its unique role in different kinds of music and training area.
Djembe isn't restricted to the traditional instrument intonation and can satisfy children's sound-making nature mostly, improving children's achievements of studying music. In the meanwhile, as flexible and expressive, Djembe is welcomed by various activities, such as children's report-back performance and adults' league building performance. Everyone can enjoy the pleasure of playing Djembe happily!
In terms of interactive content, our Canadian main creative team has created a brand new interactive content for Super Djembe. With the upgraded interactive video, we will bring our children to enjoy the different charms of different countries' music.
Five musical instruments: a pair of special security wooden drumstick, a musical tube, a customized tambourine and a fine Djembe for every kid, with one more special instrument - your body!
WHAT IS 200% PARTICIPATION?
It's our speciality! Before the show, everyone in the audience receives a SAMAJAM Music Bag which contains THREE musical instruments: A frame drum, drumsticks, and a musical tube! Throughout the show, KIDS and the entire family LEARN & PLAY with the instruments, as they are led by SAMAJAM performers on stage.
First, the audience learns some musical theory and rhythms from around the world. Then, the audience BECOMES the show!
By the end of the show all participants have become musicians… and they are ready to play the SAMAJAM Live Musical Participatory Video Games! To succeed the Games, the audience must play three songs all together: Brother John, Old McDonald, and Ode to Joy by Ludwig van Beethoven!

LEARN AND PLAY WITH SAMAJAM
The SAMAJAM KIDS SHOW is as much fun as it is a learning experience – all in English! First, the music: during the show, everyone will learn key musical theory from the wonderful world of percussions! Kid and parents will learn the Whole Note, Half Note, Quarter Note, Eighth Note, Sixteenth Note…. And the Drumroll! SAMAJAM also takes the audience on a musical world tour, where you will learn famous rhythms from Africa, Brazil, the Middle East, Cuba… and even Canada! Second, the show allows your kids to get familiar with key English terms like colors, directions, and movements. It's like learning two languages at once: English… and Music!

WHO IS SAMAJAM?
SAMAJAM is a creator and producer of live musical participatory experiences. With over 5,000 shows and events produced in the past 15 years, SAMAJAM has brought entertainment and learning to audiences and participants in theaters, festivals, schools, and theme parks across Canada and now in Asia. SAMAJAM originates from Montreal, Canada. The company is also active in school charity work, particularly with anti-bullying and team building efforts through music.
