On December 13 a positive COVID-19 case was found in Guangzhou's Yuexiu district.
It is reported that the patient returned to China on November 26 and underwent a 14 day quarantine in Shanghai.
The person then returned to Guangzhou on December 11 and continued their quarantine at home.
Two days later a routine nucleic acid returned positive.
Yuexiu district has implemented virus prevention and control measures at where the individual resides.
