Wed, Oct 16: Satoshi Gogo Guitar Concert

Japanese guitarist Satoshi Gogo comes back to Guangzhou for another exciting night of compelling fingerstyle guitar music. The prolific, natural guitar player boasts delicate compositions, refreshing melodies and a spontaneous performing style. Fans can catch Gogo’s concert at Mao Livehouse this Wednesday.

Wed-Thu, Oct 16-17: A Leaf in the Storm

Taking inspiration from a novel of the same name, contemporary ballet A Leaf in the Storm is set in the war-plagued China prior to the founding of the PRC. Through dance, Beijing Dance Theater and choreographer Wang Yuanyuan explore the fate of ordinary people during the tumultuous first half of the 20th century, telling a tragic love story.

Fri-Sun, Oct 18-20: Supra x Guangzhou Jazz Festival
Starting this Friday, a three-day event featuring live performances at Jojo’s Riverside (Friday), Qing Man Party Restaurant (Saturday) and Pearl River Craft Beer Restaurant (Sunday) is set to impress patrons in what is sure to be a jazzy time. Aside from great music to enjoy with friends of old and new, everyone can look forward to a refreshing pint (or five) of Supra, Zhujiang Brewery’s very own craft beer.

Sat, Oct 19: Rugby All China Cup
This Saturday, sports fans are in for a real treat as Guangzhou plays host to the Rugby All China Cup. Catch six rugby matches, including the Guangzhou Rams, Shenzhen Dragons, Dongguan Bulldogs and newly formed Canton Geese as they go head-to-head in what’s expected be a quality Saturday afternoon. Sat, Oct 19: British Day 2019
Looking to learn more about British culture and enjoy some great food while relaxing with family and friends?
