This ukulele lesson is suitable for all ages and levels. Come for a trial lesson and bring home the skills to play a simple tune. Sat, Aug 31: FIBA Basketball World Cup

Basketball fans in the Middle Kingdom are in for a real treat! FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 will tip off in eight cities around China starting on August 31. It’s the first time the tournament has ever been held in the country. From August 31 to September 4, catch Spain, Iran, Tunisia and Puerto Rico go head-to-head.

Sun, Sept 1: Huu Bac Quintet

The Huu Bac Quintet is helmed by Canadian multi-instrumentalist Huu Bac, who is able to perform with the Vietnamese monochord, dan bau, jazz guitar and the Chinese fiddle, erhu. The Canadian quintet produce distinctive music that fuses jazz with Asian and South American tunes. Check out Huu Bac as they visit Guangzhou this week.

Tue-Sun, Ongoing: Too Serious to Have Fun – Lucas Biagini Solo Exhibition

A graduate from Ontario College of Art and Design, Lucas Biagini is skillful at creating geological surface-like artworks with various structures, textures and colors. Biagini wants to boost his audiences’ imagination so that they can feel the playfulness and positivity that he tries to transport through his works, which he calls ‘sculpture paintings.’
