This threesome started playing together while studying abroad in the US, and have been cranking out excellent tunes everywhere they play. Each member of Mr. Sun is a skilled musician in their own right, learning how to jam pretty early on in their lives. Gear up for some sweet fusion jazz this Saturday at JZ Club.

Sat, Jul 6: Fire Bridge @ Hooley’s

Formed in 2011, Fire Bridge is a four-piece Guangzhou-based rock band known to bring down the house. With their energetic, passionate performances, Fire Bridge plays some of the greatest rock and blues tunes in history in addition to their own original material. The band will be rocking the stage at Hooley’s this Saturday night, with three whole sets of smooth blues, classic rock, hard rock and heavy-hitting originals.

Sat, Jul 6: Cheer Chen 2019 Concert @ Guangzhou Gymnasium

Wearing a casual T-shirt and jeans, she stands confidently in the spotlight, singing her story. Adored for her pure and childlike voice, Taiwanese singer-songwriter Cheer Chen has captivated countless audiences with her cool serenity. Embarking on her career in 1996, Chen became an independent singer in 2003 and composed a number of her most popular songs soon after. This month, 11 albums and four demos later, Chen returns to Guangzhou for a show you won’t want to miss.

Sat, Jul 6: Wax N Wane @ Brasston
This Saturday, Brasston welcomes five cool South China-based DJs to drive out the mainstream music demons and supply music lovers with a bevy of raw and authentic tunes. Expect a wide range of music, such as italo disco, synth wave, electro, new beat, house, EBM, cold wave and goth. If you’re not familiar with those music styles, don’t sweat it – just come for a good time.

Sun, Jul 7: Dark Deer Project Presents Overtime @ T:union
