Trivia Night Returns to Hooley’s Irish Pub This Week!

Trivia night returns to Hooley’s Irish Pub this week after nearly a year-long hiatus. It’s exciting news to be sure, and we’re thrilled to announce that That’s PRD Editor-in-Chief Matthew Bossons will be on hosting duties.

So, what can you expect at Hooley’s quiz night and why should you attend? For starters, it’s free to play and there will be awesome, boozy prizes for the top three teams, including Jameson Irish Whiskey, wine and more (Pints! Pints! Pints!). Additionally, the pub will be offering quizzers a great F&B deal: a monster burger and pint of Tiger beer for only RMB75.

The quiz itself will feature an array of head-scratching questions, from music and pop culture to geography, history and current events, spread out over four rounds. (Photo and connection rounds will also be featured). This trivia will NOT be North America-focused, and will have questions that are relevant to Guangzhou expats from around the world. Basically, if you can identify all seven species of sea turtles, this quiz is for you. If you can’t identify turtles, this quiz is also for you, as there aren’t many turtle questions.

If you’ve previously been to a Hooley’s trivia night, you already know how much fun it is. If you’ve never attended the quiz, this is the perfect chance to give it a try in a low-pressure, friendly environment. Grab your friends, colleagues or a smart date and head to Hooley’s Irish Pub this Thursday evening!
