DJ Rikaya has previously shared the stage with a number of heavy-hitting and world-renowned DJs, including Afrojack, R3HAB and Pete Tong, among others. The last time this sorceress of the soundboards was in Guangzhou, it was to rock the main stage of Corona Music Festival for a crowd of nearly 8,000 partygoers. This Friday evening, Rikaya returns to Canton to hit the decks at W Suns.

This Shenzhen-based band kicks off their six-stop China tour at 191 Space this Friday. Known around the PRD for their punk and playful tunes, Thin City will bring a blend of old tracks and new songs from their latest EP, O不OK. Following this tour, the band will go on hiatus for the forseeable future, so be sure to catch them while they’re still kickin’ it.
Sat, Jun 1: The Last of the Mohicans @ Guangzhou Opera House

Is imitation the highest form of flattery… or appropriation of the sacred? Alexandro Querevalú, born in Lima, Peru, and emigrating to Poland at 18, is firmly in the former camp. Dressing in the costume of Native American tribes, he performs earnest and soulful renditions of North America’s indigenous music. You’ll either resonate with the versatility, eloquence and emotion he expresses, or feel like shouting at him to take off the damn headdress.
