According to Guangzhou Weather Bureau, residents in Canton should gear up for a whole lot of rain starting tonight and carrying on throughout most of tomorrow, April 19.

The weather bureau is forecasting rainstorms, with some parts of the city expecting heavy rain Thursday evening and Friday. Thunderstorms and Level 8 gusts are also expected for short periods of time.

The weekend will bring more thunderstorms, with a low of 24 degrees Celsius and a high of 29 degrees.

Meanwhile in Shenzhen, the city weather bureau has issued a blue warning for heavy wind, as well as a yellow warning for rainstorms in different parts of the city. The low this weekend is expected to be 21 degrees with a high of 26 degrees.

Last week, 11 workers were killed following heavy rain and flash floods in Futian and Luohu districts. We advise readers to exercise caution while out in the rainy weather over the next few days.
