Being the purveyors of a wide range of musical tastes that they are, Brasston are seeking to give visitors a taste of something different this weekend, with deep house sets put on by Chong and SPZ. Deeplomatist, a joint effort by the two local DJs, sees them dig deep into their vast record collections to bring you the sexy and emotive bass lines associated with deep house.

For their third volume of the Beijing-Guangzhou Line series, Hangover welcome Harbin techno DJ Panda, who releases music on Beijing label Prajnasonic, to play for the masses. Meanwhile, former Hangover music director Ben Chiu will return for a set, Chiu’s influences include Ben Klock, Set Troxler and Ambivalent.
Sat, Jan 12: Space Station @ T:union
The South China-based band is touring with their latest offering, Home, Destiny and the Mist from the Beginning of This Century, which is the band members’ reflection on the ever-changing art scene in China. The substantial use of slow rhythms and delays contributes to the band’s musical aesthetics, which is well demonstrated in their new album.
Sat, Jan 12: Heyo @ SD Livehouse
Hong Kong rapper Heyo has received quite a bit of attention since his second full-length album, Huahua花华, was released back in 2016. His mellow vibes recall more than a little bit of a funk influence, and an appreciation for the production value of conscious hip hop. He is joined on the evening by Vyan, with whom he released a new album in the middle of last year.
