According to Guangzhou Daily, a new section of Guangzhou Metro Line 14, which will transport passengers to Conghua, is scheduled to open by the end of this year.
Phase one of the new metro line will connect with Line 2 and 3 at Jiahewanggang Metro Station and end at Dongfeng Station, one stop after Conghua Coach Terminal. A southern extension will link up with Guangzhou Railway Station in the future.
According to Guangzhou Metro, two different types of subway trains will be running on phase one of Line 14: regular trains will arrive at each station every nine minutes (on average), while the fast trains, which will only stop at four stations on the 13-station line, board every 30 minutes.

The majority of Line 14 is built above ground, allowing passengers to gaze at the mountainous landscape of Conghua. In-the-know Guangzhou dwellers will be excited about the opening of the new line, which will make their Conghua excursions much more convenient, be it for stargazing at Apoliu Mountain, hiking to Tiantangding (the highest peak in Guangzhou) or a relaxing day trip to Liuxihe National Forrest Park.
