After 14 years of touring around Northern Europe, We Made God will launch their debut tour in China, stopping by Guangzhou this week. Having remained silent in the post-rock music scene for the past seven years, the Icelandic band are all set to meet their fans with latest release Beyond the Pale.

Fri, Dec 14: Guangzhou Long-Lions vs. Shenzhen Leopards

Guangzhou Long-Lions look set to take on their provincial foe, the Shenzhen Leopards this Friday at Foshan International Sports and Cultural Center. The clash will be the second time these two teams meet after the Leopards beat the Long-Lions 123-107 to start off the season. For this upcoming game, Shenzhen may be without their best player, Jared Sullinger, who sustained a back injury earlier in December. So be sure to come down to Foshan and support your local team!

In pain and loneliness the distorted sound of Heretoir unfolds. Music by the German blackgaze band, which fuses shoegaze and post rock with depressive black metal, became highly sought-after when they released their debut album Existenz. And with their latest release The Circle, Heretoir are slated to meet their Chinese fanbase this week, performing at T:union in Guangzhou this Sunday.

Sun, Dec 16: Pankaj Udhas
Exciting news for the great Indian community in Guangzhou: Pankaj Udhas, India’s Frank Sinatra (but alive), is slated for a performance in town this month. Having sung for many a Hindi film, the prestigious ghazal artist has enjoyed a singing career spanning almost 40 years. Ongoing: Casserole Delicacies at Ming Court

Savor a selection of heart-warming Cantonese classic casserole dishes created by Chef Chau at Ming Court. The casserole specialties menu features prize delicacies such as sea cucumber, abalone, fish maw and grouper, among other ingredients, which are prepared using time-honored methods.
