Known for his diverse range of EDM and house hits, many of which incorporate Latin elements, DJ Chuckie is slated for what is bound to be an electrifying performance at Foshan's Club Galame. Pop in to see the Grammy-nominated DJ in action.

Over 60 million people worldwide have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the music that make Mamma Mia! the ultimate feel-good show. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past to a Greek island paradise, where stories unfold. This Chinese version maintains the original flavor of playwright Catherine Johnson’s work, reinterpreting more than 20 ABBA songs in Chinese.

Thu, Nov 22: Thanksgiving Music Festival in the Wild

This Thanksgiving, join Bad Astronauts at the unique Cliff Haus, which is located in the countryside of Qingyuan amid a spectacular stretch of mountains. A Guangzhou-based trio whose music boasts a funky style with a touch of hard rock and psychedelic tunes, Bad Astronauts will perform a drum circle as the sun goes down and then crank out some electronic beats and funky music. A delicious stuffed chicken feast and homemade goodies will also be ripe for the pickings. When the music stops, set up your tent under the stars and slip into a sweet dream. Fri, Nov 23: Kodály Quartet

The Hungarian string instrumentalists of Kodály Quartet are world renowned. The gifted foursome has been active in the classical music world for more than 50 years and, although they have seen members come and go, the troupe are regarded as ambassadors of Hungary’s classical music heritage. See the celebrated quartet as they perform Beethoven this week at the Guangzhou Opera House.

Color Run, the world’s largest running series, is often referred to as “the happiest 5 kilometers on earth” for bringing people together to promote healthy living. This awesome event series hosts events in over 200 cities and 40 countries every year. It’s not about speed nor ranking, but sharing joy with friends and strangers alike. Participants will receive a running package containing a T-shirt, headband, tattoo sticker, bag of colorful powder, colorful glasses and a cool Color Run bag.

Characterized by jazzy vocals over trippy, film noir arrangements, Jay-Jay Johanson’s debut album, Whiskey, became an instant hit when released in 1996. But the Swedish singer-songwriter’s 2007 album, The Long Term Physical Effects Are Not Yet Known, is recognized by many fans as his finest offering, being more seductive and startlingly eclectic than any of his prior work. Starting his world tour in China, Johanson is slated to visit more than 30 cities around the globe.

Sun, Nov 25: Cat Wash – 2018 Baiyun Summit Run

Cat Wash - 2018 Baiyun Summit Run, an amateur marathon consisting of 5-kilometer, 13-kilometer and 30-kilometer races, will be held on Baiyun Mountain this week. The competition name, completely unrelated to any form of sport, comes from a Cantonese phrase that highlights the amiable, easy-going aspects of life. Sponsored by Zing Sport, this event will take place on November 25 starting at Aoshen Sports Park. The race's route travels around Guangzhou's famous hill. Ongoing: Early Chinese Newspaper in Singapore and Chinese Revolution

This exhibition traces the development of Chinese newspapers in Singapore from 1880 to 1942. Revolutionary events in China were reported by the newspapers in this exhibition, which will have about 100 artifacts and images on display. These newspapers played a vital role in maintaining a cultural tie between Chinese immigrants in Singapore and their homeland.
