Trivia night is debuting at Ginstar’s Zhujiang New Town location this week, launching Tuesday with a Halloween-themed quiz. Spooky topics covered in tomorrow’s quiz will range from the holiday’s history and devilish historical characters, to popular Halloween films and music. (Photo and connection rounds will also feature!).

Now, on to what you really care about: the prizes. Participating teams will stand the chance to earn a number of boozy rewards, including a bottle of fireball, 3 liters of Carlsberg and a bottle of wine. There will also be a lucky draw held mid-game, with two bottles of quality wine (no Great Wall wine here, folks) being given away courtesy of That’s PRD.  During Tuesday night’s trivia, patrons will be able to enjoy Ginstar’s burger ‘n’ beer combo for only RMB60, which includes a pint of Carlsberg and one of the eatery’s famously delicious Angus cheese burgers.

The quintet, formed in 2002, is one of the few remaining groups playing metalcore in Japan, although the band has seen members come and go over the years. This is Crystal Lake's first tour of the Chinese mainland, so be sure to catch them at Mao Livehouse on Halloween!

With hit singles such as ‘Flying Higher,’ ‘Brave Heart,’ ‘Beijing, Beijing’ and ‘Existence,’ Wang has cemented himself at the top of the musical pyramid on the Chinese mainland. As a classical music major attending one of the best music academies in Beijing, Wang encountered (and fell in love with) rock ‘n’ roll in the early 1990s. Since then, the spirit of rock has carried his music for more than 20 years.

Japan ushered in the modernization of industry during the Meiji era, when handcrafted products were first replaced by industrial items that were mass-produced thanks to the introduction of machinery. However, despite industrialization after the Meiji period, handiworks made in small workshops in Japan continued to survive in small quantities, preserving the skills of a bygone era. This exhibition, which is being staged at Redtory, will showcase the excellent craftsmanship of Japan’s talented makers and include a range of products, from ceramics and textiles to lacquerware and bamboo items.

Tue-Sun until Nov 14, 11am-7.30pm (Tue-Fri), 9.30am-7.30pm (Sat-Sun); free. Hall E11, Redtory. See event listing
