Race to the Top of Baiyun Mountain in This Scenic Marathon

Looking for a reason to dust off the ol' running boots?

Cat Wash-2018 Baiyun Summit Run, an amateur marathon consisting of 5-kilometer, 13-kilometer and 30-kilometer races, will be held at Baiyun Mountain this November. The competition's brand name, Cat Wash, oddly unrelated to any form of running, comes from a Cantonese phrase that highlights the amiable, easy-going aspects of life.

Sponsored by Zing Sport, this event will take place on November 25, with marathon participants leaving from Aoshen Sports Park. The race’s route will twist and turn around Guangzhou’s famous hill.

Baiyun Mountain, one of the most famous mountains in southern Guangdong province and arguably Guangzhou’s finest scenic spot for amazing views of Canton, offers runners quite a test. The route traverses hilly terrain, riddled with crisscrossing gullies, steep slopes and complicated topography. This route along 'white cloud' mountain is sure to challenge the most confident of runners.
