With the launch of Guangzhou’s inaugural Michelin Guide, the city has been abuzz with foodie chit-chat: from chefs sounding off on the guide, to local gastronomes weighing in on their favorite spots.
This month, we want to invite you to dine 'off the beaten plate' with us at TWG Tea, where, on July 12, That's readers will be able to sample unique, high-quality dishes made with a variety of teas.
This dinner is the first in our new series of food and drink tasting events, a series we’ve dubbed ‘Off the Beaten Plate.’ Through these events, we intend to introduce our readers to some of Guangzhou’s lesser-known culinary offerings. That’s why, this time around, we’ve teamed up with TWG Tea – one of the world’s most luxurious and high-end tea brands – to help you enjoy the beauty of tea-infused gastronomy.
The gourmet dinner menu features seared Hokkaido scallops, oven-baked traditional beef wellington wrapped with Parma ham and mixed wild mushrooms, grilled tiger prawns and squid ink risotto with clams and calamari, among numerous other delectable edibles.
The dinner menu is composed of an appetizer, main course and dessert, with multiple options for each course. All of the menu items are made with tea and guests can also enjoy a free flow of teas.
The best part: you can enjoy this epic meal for only RMB98!
Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to witness a ‘tea appreciation’ session and learn how to infuse a real cup of TWG Tea. If you are a lover of tea, or just a lover of good food, this event is for you!
And, like all That's events, fabulous prizes will be given away to lucky attendees!
