Mar 9: Föllakzoid @ Mao Livehouse

Possibly one of the most hotly anticipated acts to hit Guangzhou in 2018 (thus far), all the talk around town has been concerning Föllakzoid of late. Coming all the way from Chile, these psychedelic maestros have linked up with other warlocks of the form such as Moon Duo. Mao Livehouse is certain to be packed, so make sure to get your tickets before they sell out.

Mar 9: Brasston On Air @ Brasston

If you’ve ever wanted to be a live DJ, this event is for you. Organizers at trendy Haizhu-based coffee shop, bar, art gallery and music venue Brasston are giving you, the customer, the power to pick and play some of your favorite songs before a crowd of similarly enthused music fans. All you have to do is make a playlist on the night and submit songs to be played during this interesting event.

Mar 10: TRUETRUE – Electric Love @ Mao Livehouse

Get a taste of some future bass, courtesy of talented production duo Truetrue alongside another Babel Records signee SUSUSU. The two acts recently collaborated on a Valentine’s-themed track entitled 'Electric Love,' and a night of electric love is exactly what they plan to bring to revelers in Guangzhou at the Pazhou-based Mao Livehouse this Saturday. Babel Records is one of the most exciting music labels to surface in recent years and was responsible for last year’s albums by Joy Ginger and Truetrue themselves.

Mar 11: LeNG @ T:union

Guangzhou post-rockers LeNG last played in the city alongside the likes of The Swamp and Monster KaR during Live Wild Music Week. The instrumental band have been releasing new music of late, which may mean a debut album is on the way. The dark environs of T:union’s interior are a fantastic setting for soaring post-rock, which should suit LeNG – and their fans – perfectly.
