Here in the south, even in the dead of winter, the party stays hot. Perhaps that’s why a woman in Zhongshan over the weekend decided to strip naked in front of a crowded bar after flying into a rage at an apparent provocation.

A witness on the scene, surnamed Li, reported to Zhongshan Urban Zero-point that the woman became irate after having too much to drink late on Saturday night. She exited the bar and began taking off her clothes and shoes, while friends unsuccessfully tried to stop her.

Though one man tried to help the obstinate individual back into her clothes, many simply stood around and took pictures while the woman shouted, threw things and generally made an unclothed ruckus.

Police told Zhongshan Urban Zero-point that, after being called to the scene, they found the woman in a significantly calmer state, at which point they were able to convince her to put her clothes back on and leave with her friends.

A local lawyer told reporters that the woman’s actions warranted suspicion of violating Article 44 of the National Security Penal Code – which is presumably the law that says you can’t strip to your skivvies on a public sidewalk – and as such, could have been legally detained rather than sent on her merry way.
