WATCH: Grannies Perform Christmas Square Dance with Frying Pans in Guangzhou

Already back at work and dealing with a serious case of the ol’ post-holiday blues? Keen to relive the glory of yesterday’s yuletide joy?

We certainly are. And we’re confident this video of eight 60-something-year-old grannies square dancing with frying pans will put you in a good mood this Saint Stephen's Day.

Watch the festive dance below (VPN off):

The above footage was captured on Christmas Eve in a small village in Guangzhou’s Haizhu District. The grannies in the video took to their local square to entertain passersby with a creative take on the ubiquitous Chinese custom of public square dancing.

This is not the first time the popular past time has made the news: back in November 2016, 50,000 grannies came together to set the record for the largest synchronized square dance (not to be confused with the world record for the largest choreographed square dance, set in May of the same year).
