Dec 21-24: Guangzhou International Art Fair
Last year’s edition of the Guangzhou International Art Fair attracted a total of 350 art organizations from 35 countries and 250,000 visitors. After six successful editions, this year’s fair is predicted to be better than ever and has expanded to include a variety of fields in both foreign and domestic markets.

Dec 23: Vienna Johann Strauss Orchestra
Founded in 1966, the Vienna Johann Strauss Orchestra has been doing one thing only – recreating the legendary Strauss Orchestra of the days of Johann Strauss I, the initiator of a musical dynasty in the 19th century. Classic masterpieces such as ‘The Blue Danube,’ ‘Viennese Blood,’ ‘Radetzky March’ comprise the orchestra’s vast repertoire.

Dec 24: Lisa Ono Concert
Japanese-Brazilian Bossa Nova singer Lisa Ono was born in Sao Paulo and started experimenting with her voice and guitar at the age of 15. She soon rose to stardom in Japan and has been active on stages in New York City, Brazil and Asia ever since. Ono’s Guangzhou concert will feature a repertoire of melodic songs with a bossa nova touch, such as ‘La vie en Rose’ and ‘Quizas, Quizas, Quizas.’

Dec 22: Asylon Terra Quartet
Asylon Terra Quartet is a French jazz band composed of clarinetist Pierre Lordet, synthesizer musician Anne Quillier, bass player Lucas Hercberg and drummer Clement Black. The group excel in mixing avant-garde music, especially the electronic genre, with jazz tunes.

Dec 23-24: HIU Christmas Rave
After helming two of the wildest warehouse parties Guangzhou's Party Pier has ever seen – one this past summer and another for Halloween 2017 – the team at HIU are set to host a Christmas bash like nothing the city has ever experienced. Part electrifying rave, part ‘carnival of fun,’ this event is set to blend romance, merrymaking and music, bringing about a contagious buzz that will keep you dancing, twirling, jumping and singing.
What can you expect musically at this holiday warehouse party? For starters: three top-notched DJs with Amsterdam-based label Barong Family. Additionally, some of China’s hottest hip hop acts will also take the stage.

Ongoing: The Borderless Wall
The wall on display at ‘The Borderless Wall’ is tangible, crafted from recycled window frames and glass through which audiences can view objects from day-to-day life. Envisioned and executed by Chinese artist Song Dong, the installation is intended to “encourage stories to be told and exchanges to be made.”
