The International Film Festival and Awards encourages the use of art as a tool for dialogue to freely share and exchange different cultures. It also aims to raise awareness and promote the various aspects of Chinese language, East Asian and international cinema, while educating the public on the history of cinema.

Dec 9: Jimmy Barnes at The Parisian Macao
Considered by many to be the heart and soul of Australian rock ‘n’ roll, Barnes has enjoyed a colourful 40-year musical career and lived to tell the tale, earning him a place in the heart of every Australian in the process. Along the way he has sold more records in Australia than any other local rock and roll artist. Australia’s most successful rock icon and music legend Jimmy Barnes will perform at The Parisian Theatre, The Parisian Macao for one night only on Saturday, December 9. Tickets are now on sale at all Cotai Ticketing box offices.

Dec 16-Mar 11: The Golden Parade – Imperial Weaponry from the Palace Museum
This exhibition showcases a total of over 160 pieces of weaponry and military equipment used by the Qing Dynasty imperial court, as well as paintings, daily necessities and articles of tribute from the Qing palace. Through the exhibition, audiences will collect some knowledge about the politics, military science and imperial life of the Qing Dynasty.

Dec 17: Macao International Parade
As an annual celebration of Macao’s handover to China, Parade through Macao, Latin City, renamed as Macao International Parade this year, has attracted local artists, residents, tourists as well as performing groups from around the world since it started in 2011. Showcasing the unique culture of the city, the parade takes the crowd through streets and alleys, bringing songs and dances to the city’s historical quarters.

Dec 20: Like Cat and Dog
Spanish troupe Theatre Animal brings laughter to audiences of all ages and cultures with this riotous production that tells a lively story. With music scores matching the performers’ action, the show features animated characters drawn live on the screen before audiences.

Dec 26-27: Desires
Tango show Desires, performed by Argentinian dance troupe Estampas Porteñas, conveys powerful emotions of yearning with an intense choreographic string of romantic songs. Their performance takes audiences on a journey through time, from the folkloric Malambo and Gaucho traditions (South American cowboy) to the music of the composer Astor Piazzolla.
