September 20: Motorama
A punk rock band hailing from Rostove, Russia, Motorama, meaning 'journey of seeking dreams,' named their band after an indie movie. Composing and singing in English, they are one of the most influential, independent bands in Europe today.

September 21: Ryu Goto Concert
Hailing from New York City, Japanese-American violinist Ryu Goto was discovered as a prodigy at an early age, when he performed on stage at the Pacific Music Festival as a 7-year-old. A classical musician, Goto plays solo with many a well-known orchestra, including the National Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Sydney Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and so on.

September 21: Korpiklaani
Finnish band Korpiklaani differs from other folk metal bands who infuse the element of folk music into rock and roll. Instead, they compose music with accordion, flute, tambourine and guitar, to create untraditionally light-hearted, joyful metal music, which is surprising given the band’s wild look.

September 21-23: Michelin Journey at Laiheen
Master Chef Bill from one-Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant Lai Heen at The Ritz-Carlton, Macau will present his distinctive dishes at The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou this week. A delectable eight-course set menu featuring blue lobster, crispy grouper fillet, stir-fried wagyu beef and black truffle will be available for three evenings.

September 23: The Helipad III
Brought to you by the Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Center and Moët & Chandon Champagne, the Helipad party’s third edition will stun party-goers with a 360-degree view on the roof top of the hotel. Featuring popular DJs such as DJ Mark, Thomasz Guiddo, Chris Bello and a surprise guest DJ, the black-and-gold themed party will start from 3pm and go till 11pm.

September 23: Banana Festival 2017
If you’ve been to Banana Festival before, you know what a great party it is. If you haven’t, you owe it to yourself not to miss out this time! Join this amazing electronic music festival at the spectacular Dameisha Bay Yacht Club. Banana Festival 2017 will feature an awesome DJ lineup, including World Top100 DJs from Mars, with a dazzling sound and light show in a beautiful, private beachside location. A free bus with 52 seats will leave at the Brew Zhujiang at 1pm.

September 23: Bake and Take
Presenting French food culture and culinary lifestyle, Delicassy brings the most authentic French bakery, snacks and desserts to Guangzhou’s foodies. Attendees will enjoy tasty appetizers and learn some snack-making tips from the chef who is to demonstrate easy baking techniques. September 23: Urban Pool Pink Party
The OCC (One Creative Community) creative industry park will organize a Community Arts Festival opening party, in which an ‘Urban Pool’ installation – a pink pool filled with sand, not water – will be set up to serve as a kind of art incubator. The party itself will feature live DJs, exhibits, performers, drinks and more. Co-organized by Fei Architects, Urban Pool will hold its opening gala on September 23 and resulting exhibition days during China’s ‘Golden Week,’ from October 1-8. Anyone is welcome to attend.

September 23-25: China Diving Expo
This year’s China International Diving Expo will attract a number of diving brands and associations. On top of exhibitions, the occasion will also include a diving photography contest, diving experience and seminar.

September 24: Guangzhou Downhill League Tournament
Another edition of this year’s downhill mountain biking tournament, organized by the Guangzhou Downhill league, will take place on the trails of Luogang Xiangxue Park in Huangpu District – its fourth stop this year. With the length of a racing track at 1.54 kilometers and the biggest fall at 168 meters, this downhill event will see daredevil bikers from Guangzhou, Beijing and other mainland cities bring out their best performances.
